A Sunrise to Remember

There's something magical about the golden hour, especially when it's spent with two people deeply in love against the backdrop of Sunset Cliffs in San Diego, California. Recently, I had the pleasure of accompanying my clients, Kelsey and David, on a breathtaking journey as we captured their love and the enchanting light of a sunrise portrait session.

We planned to meet early in the morning, just before the sun peeked over the the peak of the hillside, to capture the soft, ethereal light that bathes everything it touches. As we arrived at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, and headed towards the swing set the darkness began to lighten, and we were gifted a beautifully neutral lighting that allowed for these gorgeous photos. Ever since the swing set was put back up, I have been getting a TON of requests to take photos here and I absolutely love it!

Disclaimer: There is an easy hike of about .32 miles from the parking lot to the swing set. I would recommend wearing shoes that you wouldn't mind doing a bit of walking in. If you want to wear heels or something nice for the shoot, I would bring 2 pairs of shoes.

A Diverse Landscape

Throughout the session, we explored various locations along the cliffs, each offering its own unique perspective and beauty. From the ever so popular and photogenic swing set, to near the cliff's edge where the mist of the Pacific Ocean kiss's your skin. The beauty of this location makes it an easy favorite amongst many. Lastly on our way out, as we crossed the bridge, I wanted to take just a couple more photos. The wooden texture and rustic look of the bridge made a unique frame for Kelsey and David.

Thanks Again to my amazing clients!

As a photographer, it's moments like these that remind me why I love what I do. Capturing love and light in all its forms is not just a job, but a privilege—a chance to freeze time (and our butts off) and immortalize the fleeting beauty of life's most precious moments.

To Kelsey and David, thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your story. I had a blast documenting this special moment on your trip!
